What is DIACOLIX?
DIACOLIX is a mixture of plant extracts combined with highly concentrated yeasts on a base of sorbitol. It also contains mannan-oligo-saccharides (MOS) and beta-glucans.
Types of herbal extracts:
- Salix Alba (White Willow Bark): increase resistance
- Thymus vulgaris (Thyme): clear the mucous membranes
- Curcuma : very efficient against digestive problems
In wich cases can we use DIACOLIX?
DIACOLIX is strongly recommended preventively or in case of digestive problems. Those problems often come from :
- Colonization of the gut by pathogenic germs
- Over-administering milk or poorly preserved milk (turned sour)
- Inferior colostrum quality (immunity issue with the mother)
How does DIACOLIX work?
Mannan-oligo-saccharides (MOS) have the effect of promoting the production of good bacteria (bifido-bacteria, Lactobacillus...) and prevent the proliferation of bad bacteria. By sticking on free fixation points on the intestinal wall (villi), MOS will prevent pathogenic bacteria to colonize the intestines.
Beta-glucans on the other hand work like a immune-stimulating agent and are very important in the first weeks of life. They will rapidly increase the size and height of intestinal villi and therefore the capacity of nutrient uptake.
Beta-glucans also stimulate appetite and increase immunity by fighting all types of fungi or toxins.
The live yeasts strengthen the intestinal flora and make a protective layer on the intestines.
Meanwhile, plant extracts will also work strongly by reinforcing immunity and increasing natural resistance.

Instructions of use CALVES:
DIACOLIX is administered preventively via the milk at a ratio of only 5 ml per day for the first 15 days.
In more serious cases we recommend a treatment of 10 ml twice a day for 3 to 5 days.
You can mix it with milk or administer directly into the mouth using a syringe. Shake well before use for a good homogeneity.
